In the Swedish sensation I May Be Wrong, former forest monk Björn Natthiko Lindeblad shares his advice on how to face the uncertainty and doubt that is a natural part of life. It's also a very personal story that is at times, if not quite laugh-out-loud-funny, definitely chuckle-making and self-recognition-smile inducing. However many readers, including myself, were probably hoping more for the dirt on former teammates, coaches and media staff. In September 2018, Lindeblad was diagnosed with ALS, which in various ways affected his continued lecturing activities.

Do you act based on the thoughts that you have created, which may in fact be far from the reality, in reality? Björn died in January of this year (2022) but the world is a better place for his having been in it. It it too bad he does not stick with a point long enough to provide more details or thought-provoking points for the reader. I wish his observations in here were expanded, but it’s designed (for better or for worse) to be a quick read.We have no control over what pops into our minds, but we can control whether we believe them or not. I found it interesting how he took the lessons he learnt from his life as a monk back into 'everyday' life in Sweden. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. But there are also bits that are timeless, insightful, and still fascinating despite the passage of time.

How to be present and have courage to welcome uncertainty in my live is what this book has bought me in midst of despair. The English translation of the book, titled I May Be Wrong And Other Wisdoms from Life as a Forest Monk, was released on 17 February 2022. That's a good thing to try to remember - we seem to be so certain of everything so it's worth wondering if you are actually right - you might be wrong. In 2012, Natthiko Lindeblad was chosen to be the listeners' summer host in the popular Swedish radio show Sommar. Maybe I just read this book at a low moment when I needed it but I often felt that the book was talking directly at me, helping me with areas that I was struggling with. He talks about the challenges and benefits of meditation, and gave some insight that helped me understand meditation better.

It's interesting to read about how his life as a monk is now helping him deal with his diagnosis of ALS and his thoughts and perspective on death. We follow him through his years in Thailand, pre-monk, monk-in-training, full-monk, and then his years in 'forest monasteries' outside of Thailand.

I've sometimes wondered what it would be like to join a Buddhist monastery but the closest I ever got was going on a silent ten-day meditation retreat in an old boarding school in Kells, Co Meath.Barkley teve uma vida muito interessante dentro e fora das quadras e poderia preencher uma autobiografia de 600 paginas com historias boas. Without the generous sharing of their insights, who would I have become, or worse, who would I still be stuck in?
