Though the game features few racers, few tracks, and few play modes, there are relatively many unlockables because most characters and tracks are locked when the game is launched for the first time. The Wii version does not allow for a photo to be taken, but the console's larger processing power and the Wiimote's abilities make for richer content. One odd thing about the game – several characters are listed bio wise but you never get to interact with them.

As the game is mostly mini games and fetch quests, anyone should be able to complete this with a little bit of time.

I can honestly say however that I’ve never played a sandbox style game that was geared for young and/or female gamers though. Find the perfect deal for Monster High Ghoul Spirit Nintendo DS Game that suits your budget and needs.

So you can have one of each of the three skater types if you want and switch depending on the situation. Speed boosts do not add up, so having a speed boost active when crossing a speed platform makes the platform have no effect. I reviewed the first Monster High game, Ghoul Spirit, back in October of 2011 and found it to be much better than I had expected. Overall, the aural aspects are somewhat better than the visuals, but a higher budget and more time could have really made this thing memorable for the core Monster High fan.Overall, the game is solid enough than an experienced gamer will have no problem with it, but those not used to a “sand box” style game might be confused as to game progression, especially single digit aged gamers. Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze (available for the Wii and the DS) is a fairly standard third-person racing game in which you control one of a team of three Monster High students out to race against other players in what winds up being an open-road version of roller derby. While the game could have definitely used a bigger budget in the visual and audio departments, the overall game is well made. As well, with six playable character types, each of which having their own unique variation of the “freaky flaw” episode, a person can play Monster High: Ghoul Spirit more than once and see something different.

It’s fun for what it is and it was cute enough that I didn’t mind the cakewalking, so actual Monster High fans will enjoy it even more. You start out with a limited number of characters and courses available to you, but you can unlock many more as you go. You have a choice of Zombie, Mummy, Werewolf, Vampire, Gorgon and “Mash-Up” which is the Monster High name for Flesh Golems. However these shots are not only rare, but they are the same exact looping animation each time the character shows up. Skultimate Roller Maze is a racing video game for the Nintendo Wii, the Nintendo DS and DSi, and the Nintendo 3DS. But Monster High: Ghoul Spirit is the only game I can think of that has taken what is currently popular genre-wise with adults and retooled it for children and casual gamers. As for content, the Wii version and DS version were released simultaneously and contain the same characters, tracks, and options. There aren’t a lot of options here (between two and three for each), so that was a bit of a disappointment.

The player will have to win races to unlock some playable characters, such as Robecca Steam, Abby Bominable, and many other strong characters. The mini games were all pretty easy to do in the time frame given, but there were one or two when I was cutting it close. Monster High: Ghoul Spirit is a digital game that allows players to create their own student avatar to delve into the Monster High universe. As my wife and some of our friends are very big into the franchise, I was happy to review the second Monster High video game, Skultimate Roller Maze even though I’m not a fan of racing games. I’d like to see it do well, as it’s cute, fun and has a solid engine behind it, but off the top of my heads, it’s hard to think of too many people that like (or participate in) roller derby that also like Monster High and playing video games (especially handheld ones).

Coins also don't have a reservoir; if the ability gauge is full and another coin is picked up, that coin is wasted. Instead of playing one of the already established Monster High characters, you’ll be making your own girl here. There are several playable characters and race tracks to unlock, but you can do all of that in roughly two hours. It’s a bit simplistic, but a game like this doesn’t need to be complex, especially since little girls are the target demographic.
